2010 UNDERAGE REGISTRATION DAY
A registration day for all underage players (4yrs+) will take place on Sunday 7th February 2010 from 2.00pm to 3.00pm in the clubrooms.
All new members are welcome.

SCOR 2010
The semi-final of the South Down Scor takes place this Sunday, 31st January at 6.00pm in St. Patrick's High School Banbridge. Come along and support the club taking part in the Recitation and Quiz competitions.

ST MICHAELS GOLF CLASSIC
Friday 2nd October at Edenmore. Prizes galore including hotel breaks in County Donegal and a £5000 hole-in-one challenge on the 11th hole. Refreshments available throughout the day.
Later on in the evening, starting at 9.30pm, there will be the prize giving followed by a buffet and disco - all in Edenmore Golf Club.

Next audition for this years competition will take place in the Parish Hall this Wednesday night, 30th September, at 7.30pm. All are welcome, so come along if you fancy doing a bit of acting, dancing, singing or think you can be a mastermind in the quiz...

MEETINGS
A meeting will be held on Thursday 1st October at 7.00pm in the clubrooms to go over the final arrangements of the golf classic taking place this Friday and to start setting up. There will also be a Committee meeting this coming Monday, 5th October, at 8.00pm.

Congratulations to Bredagh on winning the cup and Carryduff in winning the shield at the inaugral St. Michael's Under10 blitz, held on Saturday 29th August 2009. Thanks also goes to the other clubs in participating and making the day a success. The clubs involved were St. Michael's; Bredagh; Carryduff; Tullylish; Annaclone; Dromara; St. Mary's Aghagallon (Antrim) and Tir na Og, Portadown (Armagh). CATHERINE AND TERESA MARSDEN AMONGST THOSE TO RECEIVE GAELTEACHT GRANTS
Down GAA County Board have presented grants to 36 recipients from the 2009 Gaeltacht Grants Scheme. The grants have been awarded to school students (who are members of the GAA in Down) attending Irish Colleges/Courses in the summer of 2009.

LA NA GCLUB 125 CELEBRATIONS
On Sunday 10th May 2009, the members of St. Michael's GAC celebrated the 125th anniversary of Cumann Luthchleas Gael with a special day organised at the club. Games were played throughout the day with both junior and senior members taking part, and all participants receiving a specially commissoned medal. An exhibition was also on display in the club, showcasing the history of GAA in the Parish of Magheralin and Kilwarlin. A special thanks goes to all those involved, participated and lent their personal possessions to the exhibition.

On Sunday 3rd May, the Under 12's of St. Michael's GAC, took part in the Annaclone 125 tournament.

Christmas Party and Tyrone All-Ireland Winners at St. Michael's:
Sunday 7th December was a big day for the junior members of St. Michael's, when at their Christmas Party there were guest appearences from Colm Cavanagh and Ryan Mellon - All-Ireland Senior winners with Tyrone in 2008. The two Tyrone players brought along with them the All-Ireland Senior and Minor trophies. Another special visitor was non other than Santa.

Congratulations Declan Boyle. Declan recently won the recitation competition at the Down County Final and will now go on and represent the club and the county at the Ulster Semi Final being held in Glengormley on Friday 12th December 2008 at 8.00pm. Good luck Declan, the club wishes you well.
